Recently some pictures surfaced on the internet of Samrat Prithviraj actor Akshay Kumar in the scenic fields of London. It was reported then that he is shooting for an untitled film in Yorkshire for a film based on the life of a real life hero Jaswant Gill who rescued many in the coal mine collapse. The latest on that thread of news is that actress Parineeti Chopra has been signed to play Kumar’s leading lady. 

Akshay and Parineeti have previously worked together in the 2019 period drama Kesari. Confirming the news on her new film with Kumar, the Kill Dil actress shared a picture with him on her Instagram page and wrote, “We are back. This time the Kesari duo may be shooting in York, but the laughs, jokes, games and Punjabi gupshup is the same 😊💕🇬🇧 @AkshayKumar #Newbeginings #Poojaentertainment.” 

The above film is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai of Rustom fame and is based on the true story of chief mining engineer Jaswant Gill and his tale of bravery.
