Amruta Khanvilkar

Amruta Khanvilkar is a well-known Indian film and television actress and is also a producer.  She primarily worked for Marathi and Hindi films. Amruta is one of the highest paid actresses in Marathi cinema and has received several accolades. She has won the Maharashtra State Film Award and Zee Chitra Gaurav Puraskar and three other Maharashtracha Favourite Kon Awards.

Amruta Khanvilkar had aspired to be a film actress from an early age and had begun her career as a contestant in 2004 for India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj. She made her Marathi film debut with Golmaal released in 2006 followed by her Hindi film debut in 2007 in Mumbai Salsa. This was followed by a commercially successful romcom, Saade Maade Teen in 2007, in Phoonk in 2008 a supernatural horror film followed by suspense thriller Gaiir in 2009. She further gained popularity with her Lavani dance performance in 2010 in Marathi film Natarang when she danced on Katyar Kaliat Ghusali.

Amruta has done notable films like Shala in 2011, Aayna Ka Bayna in 2012, Welcome Zindagi in 2015, Choricha Mamla in 2020, and made her mark in the high profile Hindi film Raazi in 2018, Malang in 2020 and then had made her OTT debut in the web series, Damaged in which she had a complex character’s role.

In the drama Chandramukhi, Amruta Khanvilkar had earned a huge critical and commercial acclaim. She further gained success in the drama, Pondicherry and in the epic historical film Har Har Mahadev both in 2022 . From 2024 Amruta has continued to shine with diverse roles in web series such as 36 Days, Lootere and Taskaree which is most recent.

In addition to the drama, films and web series, Amruta has been in reality shows such as Nach Baliye 7, Fear Factor :Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 and has anchored the Dance Maharashtra Dance in Season 1 held in 2012. She also hosted Dance India Dance 6 and Famously Filmfare Marathi in 2019.
