This film by Prakash Mehra had selected Dharmendra as their hero but Dharmendra was tied down with some other film shooting and due to which he couldn’t do this film for Prakash Mehra.

The film is a story of an honest police officer Vijay who is given charge of arresting a criminal. During his hunt and encounter, he releases this criminal was also responsible for killing his parents so it becomes a personal vengeance to bring justice to his dead parents.
The music for this film is rendered by Kalyanji Anandji and all the songs were super hits and much loved by the audience and they got famous as well. Salim Javed was the writer. Both Prakash Mehra and Salim Javed have a big hand in Amitabh’s career growth in the film industry.
