Biography

Saba Azad performed with Safdar Hashmi’s theatre group called Jana Natya Manch at a very young age. She also worked with Habib Tanvir, MR Raina, G P Deshpande and N K Sharma. In the film Guroor directed by Ishaan Nair she travelled to festivals in New York and Florence.

She made her Bollywood debut as one of the leads Raaga in an Indie film Dil Kabaddi in 2008. She is remembered for her leading role as Preity Sen in Y-Film in the romantic comedy film Mujhse Fraandship Karoge in 2011opposite new comers Nishant Dahiya and Saqib Saleem. She also played the role of Dingo in the 2016 Y film web series Ladies room. She had started singing and is a musician with the actor and musician Imaad Shah in 2012.

She is also a part of the Mumbai based electronic band duo Madboy Mink.

Saba Azad started her own theatre company. The name of the company is Skins. She directed her first play Lovepuke which opened up at NCPA’s experimental theatre in September 2010.

Saba Azad moved to Mumbai from Delhi and since then acted in two man play directed by Makarand Deshpande for Prithvi Theatre. She has featured in several prominent brands and commercials such as Cadbury, Ponds, Maggi Tata Sky, Google, Kit Kat, Vodafone, Sunsilk, Nescafe and Airtel as well as print campaigns for the brand Clean and Clear, Westside, Am way to name a few.
