He later starred in many comedy films such as Houseful, Dhamaal, Double Dhamaal and Housefull 2 , Humshakals and is today known as one of the most versatile actors and Riteish Deshmukh's name instantly brings cheer that the films he works in are full-on humour light comedy and loved by his fans and public. Since then Riteish starred in many commercially successful films such as Kya Kool Hai Hum, Bluffmaster, Malamaal Weekly, Grand Masti, Ek Villain and Housefull 3. Riteish appeared in the film Out of Control which earned him moderate success. His roles have been widely laughed at and regardless of how well the film does his performance has been much acclaimed and he has gained popularity as an actor with a great sense of humour and great in his comedy roles. Therefore he has not only earned fame for his performance in Masti but also earned him two other awards. He subsequently appeared in the films Bardaasht and Naach, both of which failed at the box office. While film Kyaa Kool Hai Hum with Tusshar Kapoor was considered to be a sex-comedy film that was much appreciated by the audience and was a moderate success at the box office. With this Riteish had established himself in the Bollywood film industry via his comic roles and a strong foothold as an actor. Some of the other films in which he has appeared are Apna Sapna Money Money apart from Bluffmaster with Abhishek Bachchan in the lead. He was also seen in a guest role in Ram Gopal Varma’s Darna Zaroori Hai and then Namastey London which was a box office super hit followed by Cash in 2007. In the same year, he also appeared in Sajid Khan’s directorial debut Heyy Baby with Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Fardeen Khan which was a huge hit. In 2008 Riteish Deshmuk once again played a lead role in De Taali in which his performance was highly praised and the film Chamku but both these films failed at the box office. In 2009, one of his releases was Aladin with co-stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Jacqueline Fernandez. He then went on to play a supporting actor’s role in Ram Gopal’s film Rann, again co-starring with Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav. His last film of 2009 was Do Knot Disturb with Govinda, Sushmita Sen, Sohail Khan and Lara Dutta. Riteish Deshmukh has to his credit some of the comedy films like Housefull with Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Arjun Rampal and Jiah Kha. The film is said to have received negative responses from film critics though commercially it performed well. In 2011 he played the role of a fake college principal in the film F.A.L.T.U which was above average-grossing film for Deshmukh. In 2012, he appeared in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya in which he is paired opposite his wife Genelia D’Souza and it proved to be a commercial hit despite it being made on a shoestring budget. Deshmukh then started working on the remake of his Marathi film Balak Palak in Hindi as the Marathi film produced by him was a grand success. With his role in Ek Villain, Riteish made his debut as a Villain and the film had received box office success. In 2015 Riteish Deshmukh appeared along with Pulkit Samrat and Jacqueline Fernadez for the film Bangistan. The film was a comedy and received mixed responses and was a box office disaster.
